Lady Of Tape by CrazyHobbitGirl Lady Of Tape by CrazyHobbitGirl
So this is my lady made out of tape, she is my masterpiece.
She was a lot of fun making, I'll probably make more like this!

PS. She used to like like she was made out of masking tape, and I wanted it that way, but she was a school project and my teacher wanted her painted, so she painted her over the weekend! :( sorry. . . I'm still upset about it. . . oh well it could have been worse. . . . I did the antiquing part though. . .

Gorgeous work and very clever. Very surreal with the creepiness :) Most creepy-groovy ^_^

Thanks! I was going for a certain amount of creepyness, I'm glad to know that it worked :)
I've been meaning to make a companion for her, but I've yet to do it.

That'd be most cool :) would you stick with tape as the medium or do another material to make the companion? Perhaps a different kind of tape? Just curious :)

I've worked with packing tape before, and I couldn't work it as well as masking tape, so I think I'll just 'stick' with that.

heh that's cool. Got to thinking there are colors of tape, which would preserve the medium, but still 'paint' it, though I am diggin' the monochrome look of this :)

Whoah, she looks so haunting and amazing! I love it! This is the first time I see a tape doll like this (I'm gonna call her tape doll if you don't mind). Also, the pose you chose is great! It's not stiff, she looks like she's actually moving and you just decided to take a photo while she was at it.

The dress turned out great too. Very elegant, and yet a little raggedy (and seemingly dirty) since you used these tapes. And I adore her tape ringlets, they're fun, as well as her sleeves.

What I especially like is that you didn't really painted face details, you just left it taped up like that. That's probably what makes this lady extra haunting. It looks like her whole face is bandaged.
